Primary Arts of Language: Reading Complete Package
Using poetry, the reading portion of the Primary Arts of Language teaches phonics and whole words. Students are introduced to letters through letter stories and discover the vowel and consonant pairs that help us read. Daily games played during “Activity Time” reinforce the phonetic concepts so that a student can know them completely.
Note: The Reading program should be used concurrently with the Primary Arts of Language: Writing program, which includes the letter introduction through printing practice.
The Primary Arts of Language: Reading Complete Package includes:
Primary Arts of Language: Reading Teacher’s Manual
Primary Arts of Language: Reading DVD-ROM
Primary Arts of Language: Phonetic Games
Primary Arts of Language: Phonetic Farm folder with Stickers
Primary Arts of Language: Writing Complete Package
The Writing portion of Primary Arts of Language, which is divided into three parts: printing, copy work, and composition, should be used concurrently with the reading portion unless your child is already reading. Then you can use these lessons independently. Spelling is included through out the course.
The printing section provides an entire handwriting program to teach your student how to correctly form his letters—he will learn his letter sounds as he learns to write them. The copy work exercises will make printing automatic in preparation for the composition lessons, which will gently teach your student to write stories and paragraphs with style.

All About Spelling Level 1 Teacher's Manual & Student Resources
Level 1 helps your child build a strong foundation for spelling. Your child will learn the sounds of the first 32 phonograms (a letter or letter combination). Next, your child will learn how to hear each individual sound in a word, how to represent each of those sounds with a phonogram, and how to apply basic spelling rules. The main focus of Level 1 is to get children comfortable and proficient with spelling short vowel words.
The Level 1 Student Material Packet contains nearly everything* that your child will need in order to complete the learning activities laid out in Level 1.
Four sets of flashcards help your student learn and review phonograms, words, and spelling rules. Five colored tokens are included to provide your student with a tactile way to segment words and identify individual sounds. A progress chart and completion certificate allow you to track and celebrate your student’s success.
The All About Spelling program is multisensory, and the Basic Interactive Kit contains components that enable your child to learn through sight, sound, and touch. The kit contains: Letter Tiles. Magnets, Phonogram CD-ROM that provides an easy way to learn the sounds of the basic phonograms, and twelve sturdy Divider Cards to organize your flash cards.
